Ipswich BMX Club recently staged round 4 of its British Cycling Go-Ride Racing, Summer Series. Weather conditions were excellent with hazy, warm sunshine and a breathless wind greeting riders as they took to the clubs Landseer Park track.
Racing consisted of three classes of four motos (heats). Riders were ranked based on their finishing positions in each of the four motos.
The first Formula 3 was hotly contested between all six riders. Two thirds and two seconds were enough to secure new rider, Aaron Sparrow a top place on the podium. Abi Pike rode consistently for second ahead of third placed Luke Taylor.
Formula 2 saw Alfie Cole return to his winning ways. Alfie won each of his four races leaving Liam Rendell in second and Ethan Milner-Moore in third to contest the minor placings.
The final class of the evening was Formula 1. John Lillingstone took the win. Shaun Andrews returned from injury with a second, leaving James Williams in third.
