Para-cycling has events running from club level up and through to the Paralympic Games.
Club competition
All para-cyclists are encouraged to be a member of a local club so that they can participate in locally run events which are graded in ability.
Limitless Focus Clubs and Champion Clubs offer specific opportunities for disabled people. Find your local Limitless club here.
National para-cycling events and championships
What is the National Disability and Para-cycling Road Series?
British Cycling organises the National Disability and Para-cycling Road Series, which provides an exciting and inclusive opportunity to compete against riders across all sport classes - Bicycles, Tricycles, Handcycles and Tandems.
Who can take part?
- Any rider with a disability who holds a valid British Cycling Silver or Gold membership.
- Riders with an eligible impairment who are classified will compete in the Sport Class allocated. Find out more about eligible impairments, classification and sport classes here.
- Riders with a disability who do not meet the eligible impairment criteria or are waiting for classification can still compete in the open category. Read the full regulations here.
- Riders can compete from 14 years; Under 16’s may only compete in traffic-free or closed-circuit events.

- Round 1: Darley Moor Sport Centre, Derbyshire – 5-6 April 2025
- Round 2: Moredon Sporting Hub, Swindon – 14-15 June 2025
- Round 3: York Sport Centre, Yorkshire – 12-13 July 2025
- Round 4: TBC, Scotland – 9-10 August 2025
- Round 5: Cyclopark, Kent – 13-14 September 2025 (National Championships)
