Great Britain’s Shanaze Reade has been ruled out of this weekend’s UCI BMX Supercross in Papendal, Netherlands with a knee injury.
British Cycling Olympic BMX coach Grant White said: “Shanaze injured her knee in a fall at our Papendal training camp last week, where we were preparing for the world cup.”
Reade, 24, has been in superb form in the UCI BMX Supercross series, winning both the time trial and racing at the Manchester and Santiago del Estero rounds. She currently leads the elite women’s standings.
