Competative Events

Scottish Cycling are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help deliver the British Time Trial Championship - 20th June, British Road Race Championship - 23rd June and British Mountain Bike Championships 20/21st July in 2013.

The Time Trial will be in Stewarton, The Road Race in Glasgow City Centre and the Mountain Bike Race will be at Cathkin Braes in Glasgow.

As a member of Scottish Cycling we would like to give you the opportunity to volunteer to be one of the team - in what will be an exciting time for cyclists in Scotland.

We will also be requiring volunteers at the World Junior Track Championships which will be held at the new Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome between the 7th and 11th of August.

We will require people to act in the roles of rider liaison, sign on stewards, car parking attendants, timekeeper assistants, timekeeper recorders, spectator marshalls and junction marshalls out on the road.

To register your interest please complete the form below. Any queries should be sent to events@scottishcycling.org.uk.

Thank you in advance for your interest and we will be back in contact with your shortly.

The Royal Highland Show

Scottish Cycling has been offered a unique opportunity to promote mountain biking in Scotland & the Highlands at this years Royal Highland Show (Thursday 20th - Sunday 23rd June 2013)

We need a mixture of qualified leaders (TCL or equivalent) to run a fun forest track & people who are enthusiastic about cycling to help man our membership stand. All volunteers will receive on-site training on the track, free camping & entry to the show!

The show starts at 9am & finishes at 5pm. If we have enough volunteers we hope each volunteer will only have to be at the stand for 4-5 hours per day - giving you plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the show!

With over 160,000 people visiting the show it gives us a huge opportunity to introduce lots of new people to mountain biking and cycling in Scotland. We can only do this with your help so if you can volunteer, please complete our on-line form below. Any queries should be sent to info@dmbins.com

Please complete the questionnaire below - we will be back in touch by June 9th (at the latest) to confirm the details with you.
