This is it, the final stage of the 2024 Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men, hosted in stunning East Suffolk.

Starting in the vibrant seaside town of Lowestoft, our riders will wind their way south taking in some of the most scenic areas the area has to offer before finishing in Felixstowe, a town familiar to Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain followers as the location for stage five of the 2023 edition.

As well as over 100 of the world’s top cyclists battling it out for victory in the 20th edition of Britain’s biggest professional cycle race, East Suffolk will be welcoming fans to both locations with a range of free events and activities for all the family.

If you’re looking to catch the final stage action in person, then check out some of the best locations and what you can expect there, below.

Start

Lowestoft will provide the perfect welcome to fans and riders alike on Sunday 8th September, with the free-to-attend First Light Festival running from 09:00 to 15:00 in the town, centred upon the Royal Green next to East Point Pavilion where the professional teams will begin to arrive just after 09:00.

Fans can welcome the teams between 09:50 and 10:50 as they’re presented to the crowds on the podium, before the stage starts at 11:00. After the race leaves Lowestoft, there’s plenty of fun, sport and community activities on offer including a BMX pump track, a series of creative and educational workshops, fun physical activities and more.

Intermediate Sprints

With the King of the Mountains jersey wrapped up by stage five of the race, all eyes will be on the three intermediate sprints as riders look to secure points points and time bonuses in their bid to take the red Points jersey.

The first intermediate sprint can be found in the market town of Beccles just 14.5 kilometres into the stage and fans can expect the riders to pass through at roughly 11:40.

The riders will then take on another 75.8 kilometres of East Suffolk road before reaching the next intermediate sprint in the beautiful seaside town of Adelburgh at approximately 13:29. Following this sprint, riders will turn sharply back inland navigating their way to the final intermediate sprint of the 2024 Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain in Grundisburgh at roughly 14:20.

Finish

With the final intermediate sprint settled, the riders will be eyeing an exciting finish on Sea Road in Felixstowe to crown the 2024 Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men champion. Fans can expect the riders to reach the finish area at approximately 15:06 and for those that want to see the action unfold ahead of this a big screen will be showing the ITV4 coverage live.

The fan village in Felixstowe will also feature a number of other exciting free activities throughout the day such as circus performances, a 10km community ride and  presence from race title sponsors Lloyds Bank, plus British Cycling partner’s Alé Cycling, Vittoria, Ridgeback, and Shimano, with the latter providing free bike safety checks for fans, plus the chance to try food from Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men hospitality partners Gaucho.

Away from the finish line, viewers should look out for the eye-catching artwork created by pupils at Langer Primary Academy in Felixstowe with help from local artist Jim Lait, to celebrate the final stage of the Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men.
