British Cycling has today published new guidance on the safe delivery of education courses, which are set to resume in September.
The guidance sets out what is required of tutors, learners and course venues to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, and the differing guidance for classroom-based and outdoor learning.
The Way Forward: Education course delivery
New dates for Coaching, Leadership and Cycle Training courses are now live and will take place in locations across Britain, with the online modules of courses to be completed using the organisation’s new e-learning platform, British Cycling Learning.
You can find out about upcoming courses here, and express your interest in future course and volunteering opportunities here, with new dates being added regularly.
British Cycling Head of Education, Simon Hibbert, said:
“It’s been incredibly positive to see so much enthusiasm around cycling over recent months, and we know that ride leaders, cycle training instructors and coaches all have a vital role to play in helping even more people to learn to ride, cycle further and love getting out on their bikes.
“We have a wide variety of courses available, in locations across Britain, and our investment in a new e-learning platform has enabled us to streamline our education offer and enable learners to continue to build up their skills and qualifications without even needing to leave home.
“We have been working hard to return to education course delivery in a safe and sensible manner and look forward to welcoming plenty of new and returning learners once courses resume next month.”
