In collaboration with Halfords, we’re taking a mobile van around the country to meet members and service their bikes for free!
Members who visit the van will get a free bronze level bike service worth £35, which includes:
- Full safety check and 32 point assessment
- Tyre condition checked and inflated to correct pressure
- Lubricate chain
- Adjust gear tension and check brakes
- Tighten all handlebar-mounted controls and crank arms
- Check and tighten seat post and saddle to manufacturer's limits
- Bike clean
If repairs or replacement parts are needed, the mechanics will include this on their report at the end.
When and where?
The van will be situated outside the following Halfords stores:
9 March – London – E1 4UJ
16 March – Cambridge – CB5 8WR
23 March – Leeds – LS5 3BJ
6 April – Birmingham – B29 6SJ
I'm a member, what do I need to do?
Simply come down to your nearest store between 9am - 5pm and head over to the van. The events will run as drop-in sessions, so there may be a short wait, but the mechanics will get to everyone as soon as they can.
You'll need to take your membership card on the day, since the service is for members only. It can be your physical card or the digital version within your dashboard.

Terms and conditions
Services will not be carried out in the absence of a valid membership card. The offer is limited to one bike per membership and can only be redeemed at the mobile van events organised by British Cycling. It cannot be exchanged at any Halfords store. The cost of replacement parts is not included. You may bring an electric bike but only mechanical work can be completed on it. Services will be carried out by Halfords, in accordance with their terms of service, including a 6 month guarantee. See here for more information.
