Ipswich BMX Club recently staged round 5 of its British Cycling Go-Ride Racing Summer Series. Riders were greeted by damp weather conditions, which only helped to compact the track's recently laid top surface. Racing consisted of three classes of four motos (heats). Riders were ranked based on their finishing positions in each of the four motos.

Aaron Sparrow won the formula 3 class for the second round running. He rode to victory in all 4 races leaving brothers Luke & Jake Taylor in second & third places respectively.

Formula 2 saw Alfie Cole win three of his four races. Jake Sparrow rode well to take second finishing ahead of Lee Matthews who tired towards the end of the meeting in third.

The final class of the evening was formula 1 where riders found it tricky staying upright in the loosely packed turns. Shaun Andrews took the class win ahead of an ever improving James Williams in second. Kyle Gladwell took the last spot on the podium in third.

Round six of the Summer Series is at Landseer Park, Ipswich on July 16th. Registration closes at 6.30pm.
