British Cycling has confirmed the dates of the 2018 HSBC UK | BMX National Series, which culminates with the HSBC UK | British BMX Championships in Blackpool from September 15 - 16.
The series will again begin with rounds one and two at the HSBC UK National Cycling Centre in Manchester, while Cyclopark in Gravesend, Kent, will host two rounds of the series (rounds five and six, from May 26 – 27).
The 2017 HSBC UK | BMX National Series saw junior BMX world champion Bethany Shriever secure an emphatic victory in the Women’s Championship, while Curtis Manaton claimed the Men’s Superclass standings.
Jonathan Day, British Cycling’s head of sport, said:
“We’re delighted to announce the dates for the 2018 HSBC UK | BMX National Series, after a successful and hotly contested series in 2017.
“While we’ll again be making the most of the fantastic facilities in Manchester and Gravesend, and returning to Telford after a short break, it’s great that we’re able to host stages at three new venues in 2018. It really highlights the current appetite for BMX racing here in the UK.”
