Following the creation of the British Cycling BMX Freestyle Commission to steer the development of the sport, British Cycling and Scottish Cycling are delighted to continue plans for the future of BMX Freestyle by turning our attention towards Coach Education, learning and development.
As a result of a consultation with the BMX Freestyle community, we are now beginning the BMX Freestyle Coaching Project. Working in collaboration with the community, commission and partners, British Cycling and Scottish Cycling aim to create a high quality, accessible and inclusive Coach Education and Development Pathway.
The primary role of the technical group will be to develop the technical content and technical curriculum that will integrate with other areas of knowledge to create a holistic coaching pathway.
The Project Group is seeking 3 – 5 individuals with the knowledge, skills, experience and attitude to make up the technical group. Please see the person specification below.
Expectation and commitment
The first phase of the technical work will involve two face-to-face, in person workshops between May and July this year.
Workshop 1, May* – Scotland (2 days)
Workshop 2, June* – TBC (2 days)
*Exact dates will be mutually agreed
Renumeration
£250 per day
Reasonable travel, accommodation and food expenses will also be covered in agreement.
