British Cycling National Track Championships tickets go on sale

Tickets for the 2014 British Cycling National Track Championships will go on sale tomorrow (Thursday 24 July), British Cycling announced today.

The championships, which take place from 24-28 September, are returning once again to Manchester’s National Cycling Centre, the home of British Cycling and the highly successful Great Britain Cycling Team.

On the day that the track cycling competition gets underway at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, fans of track cycling will be able to secure their tickets for the annual championships which sees Britain’s Olympic and world champions battle with the next generation of talented riders for the honour of becoming national champion.

Of the competition, 2013 double world champion and multiple national champion, Becky James, said:

“It’s always an incredible feeling to race at the British Cycling National Track Championships in Manchester with the support of the passionate home crowd. The atmosphere in the velodrome always lifts the performance of the riders, making the event a great spectacle for track cycling fans.

“The competition is always tough and so many great riders have enjoyed breakthrough performances at the nationals over the years. To stand at the top of the podium as British champion, knowing you’ve beaten some of the sport’s best athletes to get there, is a great honour.”

There are two price bands, allowing spectators to choose between a premium finish line view and value for money seat. Families and under 16s can enjoy a discount on the standard admission price.

British Cycling members and official fans can save an exclusive 30% off the standard ticket price until 25 August.
