Tour de France winner and four times Olympic gold medallist, Sir Bradley Wiggins has withdrawn from this weekend’s British Cycling National Track Championships.
Wiggins, who has returned to the track with the aim of riding the team pursuit in Rio next year, has been advised not to race on medical grounds, after suffering a cold in the aftermath of the Tour of Britain.
He will now continue his preparations for the UEC European Track Cycling Championships in Switzerland in mid-October.
