Work continues apace on the second phase of Herne Hill’s redevelopment as shown by this latest panoramic shot from the Herne Hill Velodrome Trust’s live 'digger-cam'.
As can be seen, the diggers have completed excavations for the junior track and hardstanding areas in track centre.
In 2011 with funding and technical support from British Cycling, a new high tech track surface was installed after British Cycling successfully negotiated with the Dulwich Estate to secure the long term future of the venue.
The phase two developments, consisting of a new junior track, hardstanding area and perimeter lighting will make the historic venue more versatile than ever before.
