About our club
Hetton Hawks Cycling Club is for children and young people up to the age of 23. A “junior development club” with an aim to provide high quality coaching and support for our riders. As a member of Hetton Hawks CC you will be riding with people of your own age and similar ability every week.
Hetton Hawks is a British Cycling ‘Go Ride’ Club. Clubs under the Go Ride scheme agree to ensure that the riders are trained by qualified coaches and supported by properly trained officials. The club is delighted to have the regular support of over 12 British Cycling qualified coaches planning coaching sessions for Road, Cyclocross and MTB.
Hetton Hawks encourage volunteering support from parents and helpers. Some volunteers form part of the committee and it is these individuals who are the officials of the club, they meet once a month to plan the activities for the riders and members of the club.
We welcome any young rider wanting to enjoy their cycling whilst gaining valuable coached skills.
