About our club

Also, note that the statistics shown above are from out of date British Cycling Information. during the last few years we have had a membership of around 300-400 members, of which around 80-100 are Mountain Bikers, the remainder being Road Cyclists and with quite a few that ride both disciplines.
YOGI was originally formed in recognition that there are a vast number of cyclists who prefer the non-competitive side of the sport whilst still accommodating those who do want to take part in some competition.
Our moniker is 'The Friendly Club' and on the Road side of the club we welcome anyone who is capable of riding 30 miles at an approx. average speed of 10 mph, right up to those who want to 65 - 100 mile rides at an average around the 16 - 18 mph range.
We have a whole series of different paced rides in between those so basically what you want we can likely provide.
Our thriving MTB section, offer social rides on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, and weeklyTuesday and Thursdays evenings.
MTB rides are technical, and you can expect a bit of an adventure, plus it's a great way to ride the lesser known bridleways of Dartmoor.
