About our club
Velo Club Newport are growing group of road cyclists, ranging in ability, but with a collective focus on improving performance without losing the social 'coffee and cake' atmosphere.
We provide opportunities to train group cycling skills and road craft, prepare for sportives and build fitness. Our members take part in everything from 20 mile charity rides to 250 mile Audaxes, as well as plenty who are only in it for the cake stops on the weekend club runs!
All you need is a bike, a helmet and reasonable bike control skills to get started. VC Newport strongly recommend that you have insurance when riding, British Cycling membership (Ride, Race Silver & Race Gold) comes with insurance and legal support, Bronze does not.
