About our club
Established in the Spring of 2014, York Rouleurs is a British Cycling-affiliated club aimed at encouraging group cycling for those based in and around the City of York.
Every Sunday our club rides leave from outside Cycle Heaven on Hospital Fields Road, York at 9am. Club Rides consist of 30, 40 mile and 60 mile routes. We have different pacing groups to cover a range of speeds. We always end our weekend rides with a well earned coffee, cake and a chat back at Cycle Heaven!
We operate a no-drop policy. Always. Each group will go at the pace of the slowest member of the group. We ride up hills at our own pace and regroup at the top.
We run weeknight sessions at York Sport Village Cycle Circuit. We have Training Tuesdays hot laps to get a sweat on, and Chin-Wag Wednesdays for some chat laps.
We are British Cycling affiliated and have regular Techniques and Skills Coaching Sessions with our British Cycling accredited coaches.
Plus, join us on the first Saturday of each month (except January and February) for “WE RIDE”. A super social fun ride of 20 miles on quiet flat roads with a potential cafe stop in the middle. No need for lycra or to be a Member - just a bike, a helmet and a smile! 9 am start at Cycle Heaven
If you wish to take part in the weekly 'Club Run', simply turn up at 9am on a Sunday at our meeting point: Cycle Heaven, 31 Hospital Fields Road,York, YO10 4FS. Rides are usually between 30 and 60 miles in length, at an overall average speed of between 14 and 20mph depending on the groups ability.
