About our club

We are the Swan Wheelers of Buckingham a revived historic cycling club (c1891).

We're definitely not an elitist cycling club, we're a bunch of people who enjoy riding their bikes. Whether you do that on a road bike or a hybrid, whether you wear lycra or not, whether you wear our club kit or your own gear, if you ride faster or slower ... it doesn't matter as long as you want to ride.

WHEN WE RIDE
Wednesdays, Meet at 9:15am for a 09:30 start
20 - 40 miles, a social ride at the pace of the slowest rider.

Sundays, Meet at 08:45 for a 09:00 start
Varying distances, but usually around the 25 - 50 mile mark, split into four groups (Leisure, C: 14-15mph, B: 15-16mph, A: >16mph).

HOW DO I KNOW BEING PART OF A CYCLING CLUB IS FOR ME?
You are very welcome to join us on up to three club rides, to see if you enjoy it and find the right ride group before we would ask you to join the club.

What do I need to bring?
- Yourself
- A bike - a road bike, hybrid or MTB with slicker tyres is best
- A helmet (sorry you can't join the ride without one)
- An inner tube or puncture repair kit and pump would be handy
- Drink and a snack
- Money for the cafe stop (£7 should be plenty)

JOINING SWAN WHEELERS
It costs £18 a year to be a member of Swan Wheelers. Annual membership runs from April to March. You can join at any time
