About our club
Wokingham Cycling Club exists as a point of contact for people in the Wokingham area who are interested in cycling together.
We organise club rides typically between 25 and 80 miles with average pace ranging from 13mph to 20+mph. Rides are advertised on the club website detailing the planned pace, distance, accent and route for interested members to sign up. Group size is capped at a maximum of 8 individuals including at least one ride leader. Many rides involve a coffee stop. We also run Time Trials in the summer and join track sessions some winter evenings. Rides are organised on weekend mornings throughout the year and increasingly during the week. Summer evenings are popular. The majority of rides are road based but ride leaders also organise gravel and some MTB rides.
We are not a club a club for raw beginners but as long as you can maintain at least 13 miles an hour on the road for 15 miles and are prepared to ride (or learn to ride) in a tight group then you will find a ride to suit you.
We are a friendly and welcoming club who have grown from only 5 members in 2014 to 330 members in 2024.
