About our club

Wheal Velocity Cycling Club is a friendly local cycling club with Junior Academy, Development Squad and Race Team. Based at Wheal Jane Earth Science Park just outside Truro, we aim to provide something for everyone.

Wheal Jane has its own traffic free criterium racing circuit and purposes built off road training and racing circuits. This allows us to offer everything from racing and race specific training through to more casual club rides.

The club is fully inclusive and caters for everyone from beginner to fully fledged racer. Our Junior Academy aims to provide a fun and safe environment that will produce riders with a lifelong love of riding bikes. We want all our young riders to develop the necessary skills to be able to ride safely both on and off road.

Our coaching team are all DBS checked and British Cycling qualified so you can rest assured that riders will receive quality coaching. All riders are welcome and we can accommodate, from beginners to those who are already racing and have dreams of winning the Tour.

Wheal Velocity Cycling Academy meets at Wheal Jane Earth Science Park every Saturday afternoon, from 13:30 until 16:00.
