About our club

Wetherby Velo Cycling Club are a friendly social group and meet for rides at Mews Bar on Bank Street, Wetherby.
Our regular weekly rides are:

Saturday morning 9 am, social group ride of 50-60 miles in length. Riding out to the finest cafes for coffee/cake/breakfast baps then back to Wetherby for 2 pm. Social pace so 16-17mph average speed.

Tuesday evening 6:30 pm (through the summer), group ride of 25 - 30 miles in length, usually ridden as a tempo training ride at 20mph average speed. As the nights draw in there is a Zwift based session, with riders using Discord during the winter months.

Thursday morning 9:30am, social group ride of 40-50 miles, out to a cafe for those who can make a ride mid-week. Social pace so 16-17mph average speed.

We welcome new members and can run shorter/slower rides as demand requires. If interested in riding with us then get in touch.

We often enjoy a post ride beer at Mews and a club curry night a couple of times a year.

Our average Saturday social riding speed is around 15-16 mph.

Tuesday night Tempo rides are quicker at 18-19 mph average.

We are Cycling Time Trials (CTT) affiliated and offer access to Time Trialling including the local Thursday night TT League which is run by 7 local clubs in the area through the summer.

Membership is £15.00 per year.

We also offer 2nd claim membership of £12.50 (for those wishing to join us to Time Trial/Race)
