What type of coach am I looking for?
The following information is provided to help you find a coach who is most appropriate for your needs.
Activity Coach and Trainee Activity Coaches are qualified to plan, deliver and evaluate a series of coaching sessions to groups of 3-15 riders in traffic-free environments and 3-7 riders in environments outside of traffic-free facilities (eg off-road mountain biking).
Level 1 Coaches are qualified to independently deliver pre-prepared cycling activity sessions to groups of 3-15 riders in a flat, traffic-free environment.
Trainee Level 2 Coaches are qualified to plan, deliver and evaluate a series of pre-prepared cycling sessions to groups of 3-15/20 riders in traffic-free and some cycling-specific environments.
Level 2 Coaches are qualified to plan, deliver and evaluate sessions to groups of 3-15/20 riders in traffic-free and some cycling-specific environments.
Level 2 Discipline-specific Coaches are qualified to plan, deliver and evaluate a series of discipline-specific sessions to groups of 3-15/20 riders (depending on the discipline and environment). Level 2 Discipline-specific Coaches can coach basic, intermediate and advanced discipline-specific techniques in a discipline-specific environment (eg BMX, Cycle Speedway, Cyclo-cross, Mountain Biking, Road and Time Trial and Track).
Club Coaches and Trainee Club Coaches are qualified to plan, implement, analyse and revise an annual coaching programme for individual riders plan, deliver and evaluate coaching sessions to groups of riders. Club Coaches can coach up to 25 riders in traffic-free environments and up to seven riders in environments outside of traffic-free facilities.
Level 3 Coaches are qualified to plan, implement, analyse and revise an annual coaching programme to individual riders within a discipline-specific content. They are also qualified to plan, deliver and evaluate coaching sessions to groups of riders coaching advanced discipline-specific techniques and tactics in a discipline-specific and Level 3 generic environments.
