Under 16 Individual Finals
30th August 2009, Leicester Cycle Speedway, Frog Island

Welshman Ben Mould (19pts) rode to victory in the U16 British Individual Championships at Leicester's Glover Park. He only dropped one point in his quest for the 2009 title, that being to 2008 champion Tom Reed (16 pts) of Exeter, in his first race. The Poole rider rode superbly winning his remaining four rides to secure the title.
Runner up spot went to another Welsh rider Mark Carmichael (17pts) of Horspath who took the silver medal from local lad Robbie Venson after Venson was excluded in the run off for ramming.
Defending champion Reed only managed fourth place after been excluded in heat five for a tape violation and even winning his final three races wasn't enough for the Exeter lad to take home the silverware.
Stockport's Dylan Radcliffe (16pts) was probably feeling a little tired after his semi final victory at Wednesfield the previous day but rode well for his fourth place in the final, riding against Mould and Venson in heat 14 he managed a hard fought third place but the two podium riders proved too strong for the Stockport rider.
Excellent riding during the final gave the ever increasing Leicester crowd something to cheer about all afternoon and the quality of riding gave referee Wayne Aris little to do
