The North West Cyclo-Cross Association has released its League regulations for the 2009-10 season.

The NWCCA Committee has agreed to formally issue League numbers for the following reasons:
• Aid to judging, by the provision of arm numbers, in addition to back numbers.
• Make identification of riders easier to officials.
• Speed up the signing on process.
• Enable pre-printed signing on sheets for affiliated riders.
• Avoid duplicated or non conspicuous numbering problems.
1. The NWCCA will register riders for the Senior, Veteran, Ladies and Junior Categories only.
2. The fee for affiliation to the NWCCA league will be £5.00, which will entitle the rider to participate in the overall league standings as per current rules re geographical boundaries.
3. Each affiliated rider will be issued with 1 x arm and 1 x back number which the rider will retain for the current season. Lost numbers will incur a new fee to cover the cost of the numbers. The arm number will be forward facing on the left arm unless advised otherwise at the signing on.
4. The organisers' will have signing on sheets for affiliated and non affiliated riders.
5. Affiliated numbers will take numbers 1-150, with last years League winner taking number 1. The numbers will be issued on a first come basis.
6. Registration will be in advance from Ian Small, 34 Hartford Road, Sale, Cheshire, M33 4LE, with the inclusion of an A5 SAE and cheque for £5 payable to the NWCCA. Otherwise registration will be at the race venues. Preference is to register in advance.
7. Non affiliated riders will take numbers 200-250 and pay a £5.00 in addition to the normal entry fee. The £5.00 will be reimbursed if a BC member upon delivery of the two issued numbers back to the Organiser. If non BC, the £3 levy ( £2 to BC, £1 optional to the club) will be kept by the Organiser for total levies, and £2.00 issued back to the rider upon delivery of said numbers.
8. For large entries of non affiliated (can't put "foreign" for PC reasons) riders, and subject to League take up, numbering may start at 150 onwards -for Macc Supacross.
9. It is the responsibility of Organisers to obtain the non-affiliated numbers (200+) at the preceding event and confirm all numbers are present, otherwise they will be charged for loss of missing numbers prior to the signing on at the current rate, or non returned numbers as above at £3 per pair (loss to NWCCA).
10. Organisers will provide numbers and signing on as previous years for Youth and U12 races.
11. If the non affiliated rider fails to return the number the NWCCA will retain £3.00 to cover replacement numbers.

Notes for Riders
• Riders will pay £5.00 to register for the League.
• Riders will retain arm and back numbers for the current Cyclo Cross Season.
• Non affiliated riders will pay a £5.00 deposit at the signing on of each race, £2 will be returned to non BC members and £5 to BC members upon return of the pair of numbers, otherwise deposits will be retained.
• Organisers will issue numbers 200 onwards for non affiliated riders and be responsible for their collection prior to the event.
• Lost numbers will incur another registration fee.
