British Cycling has announced the team of 13 riders who will travel to St. Wendel in Germany for the 2011 UCI Cyclo Cross World Championships, taking place from 29-30 January 2011.

Helen Wyman, who has taken the National Champion title for a record breaking six consecutive years, is on fantastic form having won the prestigious Koppenberg Cross amongst other races this season. Helen is joined by Gabby Day and Nikki Harris - both of whom are regulars on the European Cyclo Cross scene.

Recently crowned National Champion Paul Oldham leads a three-strong elite men's team with Jody Crawforth and Belgium-based Ian Field completing the line-up. Current U23 National Champion Luke Gray and Junior National Champion Hugh Robinson have also been selected at their respective levels.

Team Manager Phil Dixon said: "This is still very much a developing team but I think we're capable of some strong performances out in Germany. We're represented by the National Champions in each category, and we've got Helen Wyman who's coming into the competition on the back of the best season she's ever had. We're also well represented in the Junior category, thanks to the new 2010/11 Junior Development Programme which aimed to help develop talented Junior Cyclo Cross riders. The fact we could select five riders from this group is a testament to the success of the Programme."
