Event Overview

In addition to regular coaching activiites for people with disabilities, this session is also a tandem cycling demonstration day for people with visual impairments. There will be 5 tandems available for people to use and riders will be supported by British Cycling Coaches to develop their techniques such as cornering or group riding and develop their cycling fitness and confidence.

Paracycling sessions are dedicated coaching activities for disabled riders who want to keep fit, have fun and improve performance through regular coaching sessions. Both experienced and new riders of any age will be eligible to attend the sessions, which are open to disabled riders. There are a small number of adapted bikes at the venue including handcycles and trikes. Riders should contact the coach beforehand to discuss their individual needs. Riders should contact the lead coach Andrew Johnston (cycling@york-sport.com) beforehand to discuss their aspirations and requirements for the session.
