The Nick Hardy Memorial Road Race is an 80km road race around Monikie Country Park by Dundee, over 3 laps of a sporting course, finishing off the public roads within Monikie Country Park.

Nick was a promising young member of the Carnoustie Cycling Club who passed away in his sleep whilst on a training camp in Majorca in 1993. The trophy has been awarded every year since and Nicks parents have attended and supported every edition of the race.

The race is for 3rd and 4th category Seniors and Masters, plus 2nd, 3rd and 4th category Women and 3rd and 4th category Junior riders. 60 places are available online to be selected by the organiser as detailed in the rider information section.

For 2015 the event will be part of the Angus Cycling Festival, a month long celebration of all things cycling in Angus suported by Angus Cycle Hub and Angus Council http://www.anguscyclehub.co.uk/anguscyclingfestival/

Info for Riders

No paper entry forms will be accepted. Online entries will be selected and confirmed as soon as possible after the closing date of August 2015 on the priority of riders from District Clubs, members of clubs that promote events, other BC full license holders that are club members, other club members and unattached riders up to the initial 60 rider limit. In order to encourage entries from traditionally under represented groups, I will give preference to women and junior riders of the relevant categories. I will publish a list of 10 nominated reserves on race day. If you do not wish to be nominated as a reserve please specify this when entering.
