Event Summary

Event Overview

The event is a two distance road ride the full 100km anda shorter  85 km , both rides will feature some of the iconic Chiltern Hills, it will be a tough ride for February and will avoid the main roads. Good tyres are recommended.

The event will be limited in terms of numbers with a maximum field of 300 riders. the routes will be signposted and GPS files will be available.

This will be a ride to test yourself over the distance, no food stops will be provided but there will be plenty of food at the HQ for pre and post event carbs as well as the provision of a licensed bar for those not driving back.

This event has n0w been run for the last 5 years with people complementing the event for the friendly atmisphere and well marked challenging route

This year the event has moved to a better HQ to enhance the event and this years HQ is the Chiltern Sports and Socail Club Maple Lodge , Maple Cross which is easily accesible fromthe M25 /M40 which will entail a slight change to the route of last years ride


Riders will start in groups and there will be 3 times to aim for in the longest distance, 3-3.5hrs -Gold Standard, 3.5-4.15hrs Silver Standard and 4.15 to 5hrs Bronze standards

Entry fee will be £10 and £12 on the day

On line entry will be via the British Cycling website , it is anticipated there will be a small memento for all successful finishers.

The ride will be available to be down loaded via a GPX file to those pre entered and the route will be fully signposted and instructions will also be available at the HQ. Hot drinks/energy products/refreshments will be available both pre and post the ride.
