Hillingdon Youth Race Preparation

Go-Ride , Hayes – Monday, 04 Apr 2016

Event Summary

Event Overview

Open to A, B C, D, E, riders.

These coaching sessions precede the Hillingdon Slipstreamers Monday evening race nights on those days which fall within school holidays.

There is a session cost of £5 if booked on line. (£6 if entering on the day).

The sessions are 3.00 to 5.30 pm. This should give riders enough time to eat a packed lunch and recover in time for the racing sign on at 6.00 and the Coach Led Racing which starts at 6.30.

Over the summer the sessions will cover everything you need to be a successful cyclist wherever your rider journey takes you.

We will cover warm up, bike control skills, bunch riding skills, tactics, race preparation and C.O.R.E. principals which form an essential part of your development. These sessions will be designed to ensure you still have the energy to give your best in the evenings races.

There will be a prize of a Go-Ride Bottle for the first young rider who tells me what C.O.R.E. stands for.

Please bring:

  • Signed parental consent form. Attached.  Some will also be available at sign on
  • Packed lunch for after the session and enough snacks and energy drink to keep you going throughout the afternoon.
  • Dry base layer and clean shorts would be more comfortable and hygenic..
  • Change of clothing to travel home.
  • Dress for the weather.
