About the Event

Info for Riders

This is The Children's Trust annual cycle challenge, raising funds for children with brain injurys.  The ride starts at the David Lloyd Centre in Kidbrooke (south-east London) with a choice of two routes (65 miles and 80 miles) along and close to the stunning Pilgrim’s Way in the North Downs countryside.

The 65 mile option has over 4,000ft (1,250 metres) of ascent, while the 80 mile ride has nearly 5,000ft (1,500 metres) of elevation.  Both routes are fully on road.

The route enters Canterbury with panoramic views over Canterbury Cathedral and finishes at Lifestyle Fitness in Canterbury. This ride offers even the most seasoned of riders a thrill, and is also an exciting challenge for less experienced riders.

Riders will benefit from extensive route support including mobile mechanics, recovery vehicles and first aid, as well as full route signage and marshals. The ride includes regular and well stocked feed stations, described by one of our 2015 riders as ‘the best of any ride I’ve done!’

Cross the finish line to our after party, where cyclists are invited to enjoy a complimentary sports massage, and can look forward to a BBQ, music, and stalls. Friends and family are encouraged to cheer their cycling heroes through the finish line.
