Kent's friendliest sportive is back! The Kent Velo Sportive 2018 has routes to cater for everyone and our famous feed stops with homemade goodies!

It is organised and run by volunteers from Vent Velo Girls & Kent Velo Boys and all profits go to charity.

Starting at Hilden Park Golf & Leisue Club in Hildenborough, easily accessible by car or train, our three routes will take you on a journey through the beautiful winding lanes of Kent and East Sussex & Surrey with plenty of glorious scenery along the way. 

• Family Friendly 20 - a scenic route through the Garden of Kent
• Challenge 40 - country lanes & fabulous views
• Classic 60 - taking in the beautiful Ashdown Forest & the challenge of Kidds Hill

Info for Riders

Family friendly (20miles)- A stunning route through quiet lanes of the Kentish Weald offering scenic views over the charming Kent countryside, with its oast houses, spring lambs and bluebells. This route is suitable for families and cyclists perhaps looking to take part in their first sportive, and requires a reasonable level of fitness to enjoy the rolling nature of the terrain covered. Minimum age 8 Start time 9.20am

Challenge (40 miles) - A classic scenic ride through the picturesque Weald of Kent, this route is reasonably hilly but all your hard work will be rewarded with stunning views. This route is suitable for cyclists with some experience of sportives who are perhaps looking to challenge themselves further. Good level of fitness required. Minimum age 12. Start time 9.10am

Classic (60miles) - A varied and beautiful, challenging day in the saddle, this 60 mile ride through the High Weald of Kent leads onto the open heaths of Ashdown Forest. Including the iconic category 4 OFFICIAL 100Climbs No19 Kidds Hill climb, aka "The Wall", there are plenty of climbs to challenge the spring cycling legs and beautiful scenery around every turn to reward your efforts. Good level of fitness essential.Start time 9am

Family entry is for 2 adults and up to 3 children under 16. Please check age requirements.

Each child under 10 years of age must be accompanied by one adult. One adult per two children aged 10-15 years.

There will be a feed station on each of the routes (two for those doing the 60 mile ride) stocked with water, sports drinks, bananas, savoury snacks, etc, as well as our very popular home-made brownies and flapjacks. Toilets will be available at the Dormansland feed stop (on the 40/60 mile routes).
