The VRT Circuit Race Series, will consist of 3 seperate races:

Race 1: Mens 3/4 (45 mins)

Race 2: Mens E/1/2/3 (1 Hr)

Race 3: Womens E/1/2/3/4 (1 Hr)

All races will take place on the grounds of RAF Honington, employing both the main runway and the perimeter roads with a lap distance of approx 3.5 miles.

There will be official event photography in place, provided by Keith Suffling on weeks 1 and 5.

It is planned that warm food, drinks etc will be provided by Risi Bici Cafe Deli.

Riders and spectators will have access to both toilets and showers.

Background

The VRT Circuit Race Series has been fully endorsed by British Cycling. Registration for each race will close approximately 24 hours prior to each race evening. 

All racing will be fully supported with the use of transponders, and MyLaps.

Registration Process

Due to the nature of this event, and the location in which the racing will be taking place, only online entries will be accepted. No entries will be authorised to take place on the day. Registration will cease 24 hours prior to the preceeding race. All details entered during registration are to be accurate in order to support all security requirements for entry on to RAF Honington. Any changes are to be forwarded on to the Race Organiser at the earliest opportunity.

Anyone who requires the use of a transponder is to annotate the specific field with 'HIRE'. This will then be issued on the night at a cost of £25 per unit (£20 refundable upon return).

On the day of the race you will enter RAF Honington via the main gate. Here security personnel will check to make sure you are on the list prior to issuing you with a temporary pass. From this point you will be directed to Race HQ by the use of both Marshals and event signs. Once at registration you are to ensure you sign on and that you are in possession of a valid race licence. Race HQ will open as of 1700 each evening.

Racing

Racing will be broken down into 3 seperate categories. Race 1 will see the Mens 3/4 race take place between 1800 and 1845. Race 2 will see the Mens E/1/2/3 and Womens E/1/2/3/4 races take place between 1900 and 2005 approx.

British Cycling technical rules apply. In particular: no on-bike cameras will be permitted without the appropriate authorisation; no bikes with mudguards or tri-bars.
