The Heart of the Wolds Cycle Sportive takes place in the unrivalled scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds. Starting off from the historic market town of Driffield, all the routes take in the gently undulating countryside, so graphically depicted in David Hockney's paintings but which are are largely unknown outside the area. Both the countryside and its history will be brought to life for you as part of this Sportive which will see four rides for cyclists of all abilities.

Event Overview

Now in its seventh year, The Heart of the Wolds Cycle Sportive is established as one of the best cycle sportives in Yorkshire. This year’s event takes place on Sunday 28th April 2018.

Starting off from the historic market town of Driffield, all the routes take in the unrivalled scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds.

This year we have four routes with of our ‘Centurion’ ride, aimed at those riders who want to push themselves to the limit. This 100 mile (161km) ride joins our 3 established rides (37km / 100km / 134km) which previous entrants will be familiar with and which offer something for each level of cyclist, from beginner looking to get into cycling to a regular rider looking for their next challenge.
