Event Overview

ERC in association with Scottish Cycling is arranging a series of events through 2019 for developing road racing skills.

These are open to all youth and junior riders in Scotland with birth years of 2002-2009.  You don't have to have attended previous sessions. It's preferable, but not essential if you can attend all sessions in the block.

There will be coach led groups suitable for:

* New riders that would like to race in Youth or Junior races (usually Crits).

* Experienced Riders of all ages who would like to improve their road skills and riding in groups.

Coaches will adjust groups as needed.


Preferential rates for those who book online costing £24.00 (plus £1 admin fee) for the 8 sessions.

Fifth Series dates are:

Fri Jun 7th.    7pm-9pm Sat Jun 15th. 9am-11am Fri Jun 21st. 7pm-9pm Sat Jun 29th 9am-11am Sat Jul 6th 9am-11am Fri  Jul 12th 7pm-9pm Sat Jul 20th. 9am-11am Fri Jul 26th 7pm-9pm

We strongly advice all riders that participate in all our programmes to take out BC membership for liability insurance, plus other benefits. For riders moving into racing, membership will become mandatory.


Helpers - we are always looking for experienced adult parent riders to assist the sessions by riding with the groups. Please contact organiser to volunteer.

Coaches - if you want to develop your road racing coaching and will coach a group then there is no charge for your child. Please contact organiser to volunteer.

If coming by car, there is parking at the centre, however if the parking is full, overflow parking is available at the nearby Lochgelly High School. Please don’t park on the road.

Sign-on will be in the clubhouse.
 
Please bring:

* Serviced Road Bike with road tyres and drop handlebars. Gears should be restricted to BC guidance for age of rider.

* Fruit, Snack bars or other food fuel

* Bottle with spare water (large bottle)
* Change of clothes in case of rain . Clothes can be left in changing rooms which have lockers.
* Rain jacket for riding.
* Helmet / Bike Shoes / Appropriate pedals for your shoes!.
* Rider Consent form (filled in and signed) if not already provided.
* No rollers are needed as warm up/ warm down will be on circuit.
