Event Overview
Event is #3 of the Scottish Cycling Womans Road Race Series. It will also include the Grampian District Road Race championship.
Event will take place over 3 laps of course number SCU166 based on Ballater Aberdeenshire. Course is a circular route from Ballater heading east on the South Deeside road towards the Dinnet Bridge where you cross the river Dee to return to Ballater along the North Deeside Road.
The eastward journey is undulating with one shortish medium hill shortly after you cross the bridge at Ballater. The return leg from Dinnet back to Ballater is relatively flat with a couple of upward drags rather than hills.

Info for Riders
Race HQ will be at Victoria Hall, Station Square Ballater Aberdeenshire AB35 6NN. There is limited parking in front of the HQ but there is a large car park 250 meters away together with various on street parking in the vicinity. Toilets and limited changing facilities are available within the hall.
It is anticipated the hall will be open for sign-on from 9:00am with the race starting at 12:00
Whilst the prize fund has yet to be ascertained Prize for 1st overall will be £100 (one hundred pounds). It is anticipated that there will be prizes for lower placings and first in some categories.
With regard to the district championship prizes will be awarded to the first three riders from affiliated Grampian district clubs.
It is anticipated that there will also be a Queen of the Mountains competition.
