Event Summary

Event Overview

This MTB talent development session is for riders who are currently racing or aspire to race MTB either regionally or nationally. The sessions are designed and supported by the British Cycling Talent Development Team.

The TDC group is open to Juniors, and Youth A/B riders only and will focus on high level skills development, race fitness, race tactics and racecraft including seminars on diet, goal setting, off the bike training and basic mechanics.

 These sessions will run every month and will be delivered by experienced British Cycling Mountain Bike Coaches. 

Based at the excellent Leeds Urban Bike Park riders will have access to toilets, cafe, changing facilities, bike wash and to the seminar room for occasional theory sessions.

IMPORTANT NOTE  Riders are expected to bring their own bikes in good working condition, fitted with FLAT pedals.  You must also bring clipless pedals to swap over if required.

 

All riders must also bring a completed parental consent form (see link)

Helmets are compulsory.

Please also bring a snack, drink and clothing suitable for the weather conditions, spare inner tubes, pump and relevant toolkit. All of this needs to be carried by the rider whilst out on the trails.

Please register your place by completing the online booking form and paying a £2.00 deposit  

You will then need to pay the balance of £18.00 on the day

Info for Riders

IMPORTANT

All riders MUST have flat pedals fitted at the start of the session.

 Ideally these should be 'proper' MTB flats with replaceable steel/titanium pins - these are much more suitable than standard plastic or forged flat pedals.  If you need advice please visit your local bike shop or the staff at Leeds Urban Bike Park.

Cost:

Each TDC 4 hour coached session costs £20.00 

Please register your place by completing the online booking form and paying a £2.00 deposit  

You will then need to pay the balance of £18.00 on the day

Please bring your BC membership card/race licence to sign on.
