Event Summary

Event Overview

POSTPONED FROM 2020... (All previous entries are now rolled forward for 2022)

THE SOMERSET 100 -
35mile, 100k or 100mile route choices.
Some of you have been coming for over 10 years and ridden every event with us.

Once again held at the popular cyclists cafe 'Sweets' near Westhay between Wedmore and Glastonbury.
(Please note, You DO NOT need to be a member of British Cycling to enter)

You have all loved this for over a decade, so we simply have to run it again! By popular demand a 100k course will be included again. Choice of 100miles, 100k or a 35miles course, similar route as last year, (slightly tweeked here and there) and once again you'll receive a 'Broom Wagon' throughout the 100mile course plus a food stop on the 100k and 100mile routes. Every year we arrange fabulous sunshine, a full field of riders, giggles and larks with some of THE nicest and funniest riders you could meet. Some in fancy dress, some just downright odd but all make it a great day to be out riding. Normally a lead group rattle around sharpish 'cometing' riders as they go - so you can stick with them if you're a racer or keener club rider - others giggle their way round all day long!

WE DON'T RUN TIMING CHIPS - IT'S NOT A TIMED SPORTIVE. 'No racing for the deluded here please' - you can do that properly, safely and with supported British Cycling standard events such as our local White Lake RR. Talk to us and we'll help put you in touch for that.

So less pressure for speed and more focus on the route, your fellow riders, enjoying new lanes and taking in some fabulous countryside that perhaps you didn't even know even exist in the quiet pockets of the county?
