This is a one off , non league Cyclo Cross event run by regular race promoters BC West Thames , we are running this to fill the usual void between a lot of the league events finishing before Christmas and the date of the Nationals, thus giving riders the opportunity to keep their racing legs on form for the big day of the Nationals. However we are not just hoping to attract the real race warriors  we are also hoping to attract some of the less experienced riders or even riders who have been inspired and want to give CX a go before the end of the season and to burn off the Christmas excesses.

With input from our friends at the West Drayton MBC, regular off road race promoters we will set a challenging course, with two pits.for those needing bike changes.

There will be 3 batches of races, with separate staggered starts to separate the categories racing at the same time.

For those that have ridden West Thames events in the past will know that we are always generous with our prizes and there will be prizes awarded to those on the podium and depending on numbers prizes will be extended to the top 6 or 10.

As always we will be presenting the prizes on the day on the podium for those important photo shots.

The venue for the event is the Hillingdon Cycle circuit , Springfield Road, Hayes and is easily accessible from both the A40 and the M4.

There are toilets and catering facilities at the venue and no doubt we will have some home made cake on offer at the end of your race.

Numbers for each batch of races will be restricted , so the only way to guarantee a ride is pre entry.

Although the race does not require any league membership and is open to all, entrants who are members of West Thames and who have supported our road events will benefit from a subsidised entry fee

Info for Riders

The event takes place at the Hillingdon circuit, there is limited parking at the Club room HQ , although if the ground is firm we can allow parking on the grass behind the HQ , there is plenty of parking in Springfield Road as well as the Country Park car park which is a 5 min walk from the event HQ.

Once entered we do  not refund entry fees unless exceptional circumstances, if i the event of COVID forcing changes to the event we will look at rescheduling the event and f this is not possible refunding riders minus a small admin fee.

If you wish to pre ride the course , confirmed practice times will be set nearer to the event date -do not warm up on the course whilst racing is taking place.

Riders will be issued with both a race number and a race chip, a deposit will be required for the race chip-Car key/Race licence or something you will not go home without !
