Event Overview

What is it?

This Hope Technology – Crank It session is a part of the British Cycling Performance Pathway. It will be a 4-hour session dedicated to developing on & off bike skills along with physical elements required for success. Development Centres will support riders with their first step on the talent pathway and are for those who aspire to be become better bike riders and who might be looking to attend RSRs as well as current riders who have already engaged in RSR and Apprentice programmes. Riders should be aware that these sessions will be physically challenging, meeting the needs of the racing standards of All Youth A & B and Junior bike racers.

Who delivers it? Delivery will be led by Crank It coach, UCI expert and former British Cycling Talent Development Coach Jack Humphreys alongside club coaches from the surrounding area.

When is it?  12-4pm for riders. There is also a ‘coach the coach’ session from 10:00-11:30am for any coach interested in developing their skills & knowledge - please contact Jack 

Where is it? 

Broughton Hall, Broughton Skipton BD23 3AE

Who is it for? All Youth A & B and Junior bike racers

What does it cost? £20 per session - on line entries only.

What you need? Clean Cyclo Cross bike in good working order, helmet, gloves, appropriate clothing for the weather & time of year, spare equipment & bike spares, and enough food & drink (water bottles close to hand) to see you through the session and travelling home. Please be mindful that the session starts at 12pm so you need to have a substantial breakfast and think about eating & drinking on the move throughout the day & session. 

Coaches Session

We will be talking through some coaching theory followed practical applications within the coaches group. Following this you will have the chance to see some of this in practise in the riders session. All coaches are welcome no matter your ability. Ensure to bring warm clothes as we will be based in the gazebo for the workshop. Please contact Jack to book your place.
