Event Overview
Stirling Bike Club, as part of the West Lothian Cycle Circuit Association, is proud to present round 1 of the 2024 "Thank Crit it's Friday" summer race series at West Lothian Cycle Circuit on Friday 17th May.
Whether you’re a seasoned racer or just starting out, there’s a race for everyone. The summer crit series will comprise 6 races in each category, including Open and Female Youth A/B, Open Cat 4, Open Cat 2/3, Open Masters 40-50+ and Female races,with overall series prizes for category winners. We are also intending to run some combined Cat 3/4 races mid-summer. Races will also attract BC ranking points for top 10 finishers.
Series races will take place on the following dates, and will appear on British Cycling for entry in due course:
17th May - Open Masters, Open Cat 2/3, Open Cat 4
31st May - Open Masters, Female, Cat 2/3
14th June - Female, Open Cat 2/3, Open Cat 4
21st June - Open Masters, Open Cat 4
5th July - Female, Female Youth A/B, Open Youth A/B
12th July - Open Cat 2/3, Female Youth A/B, Open Youth A/B
19th July - Open Masters, Female Youth A/B, Open Youth A/B
26th July - Female, Open Cat 4, Female Youth A/B, Open Youth A/B
2nd August - Open Cat 2/3, Female Youth A/B, Open Youth A/B
9th August - Female, Female Youth A/B, Open Youth A/B
16th August - Open Masters, Open Cat 2/3, Open Cat 4
30th August - Open Masters, Female, Open Cat 4

The event on 17th May will consist of 3 races for Open Masters, Open Cat 2/3 and Open Cat 4 riders. Race timings and the split of categories across races are subject to change depending on the number of entries.
No entries will be accepted after the closing date or on the day of the race (closing date for entries is 2100 on 14th May)..
This event is held under the technical regulations of British Cycling.
The races will be supported by British cycling commissaires who will be on site to ensure safe and fair competition.
