Welcome to The Mid Lands Off-Road Collective R1.  An entry-level Cross-Country Mountain Bike Series across 3 rounds:

Round 1 7th July 2024 Comer Woods, Shropshire

Round 2 27th July 2024 Doddington, Lincolnshire

Round 3 10th August 2024 Wibtoft, Warwickshire

This grassroots series will have the following races.

1. U6 / U8 Race

2. U10 / U12 Race

3. U14 / U16 Race

4. Female Only 16+ Beginner/Experienced Race

5. Open 16+ Beginner/Experienced Race

Although youth categories will race together (i.e. U6 and U8 will be on course at the same time), league placings will be per category and then Female and Open, (i.e U6 and U8 will have different standings and there will be U6 Female, U6 Open and U8 Female and U8 Open). This also applies to 16+ beginner and experienced races, who will have league placings per category. 

Race timings may vary from round to round, so please double check the specific event.

Is this event for me?

If you want to take part in a grassroots, low-stakes and non-ranking event, this is for you. 

How will league points work?

Points are accumulated over the 3 rounds. The person with the most points at the end of the 3 rounds is the winner. There will be no "best of". Feel free to ride as many rounds as you want, although finishing all 3 will enter you into a prize draw.

I'm 16+ but not sure what category I should enter?

The experienced category is intended for the following types of rider:

i) Has experience in MTB riding but have maybe never ridden an XC race.

ii) Raced in other disciplines but may have not raced XC before.

iii) Riders who do not have a BC membership.
