Event Overview

The CCXL Summer CX Series consists of 4 x Wednesday evening races at the MK Bowl, all hosted by a different club. Each club will put their own personal spin on the course, food and even play lists. The Summer CX races are a little more chilled than the normal league races, but still have the normal sites of timing, sign on, food and hydration.

Info for Riders

Location: MK Bowl, enter from Watling Street entrance. https://w3w.co/wiring.nipped.dreamers   Race Format The race will generally be the same as any other CCXL race, a gridding area, start and finish line, and the course marked out with tape (maybe not all of it). The summer series races are evening races with 2 waves across the entire session. Wave 1 is for Youths and Novices Followed by Wave 2 of a mixed adults race and Juniors. Wave 1 will be Gridded, U16, U14, U12, Novices separated by Time. Wave 2 will be Gridded, Open, Women, Juniors. Affiliated Riders Prioritised first. If you have a preference to start at the back please let the organiser know or simply slot in once all of the names have been called.

Wave 1 will last 20 mins plus 1 lap.
Wave 2 will last 30 mins plus 1 lap. Races need to be entered by 23:55 on the Sunday evening prior to the Wednesday. You can enter on the day but you won’t be gridded and you’ll be starting from the back. Gridding will be carried out by a silent partner who may or may not take bribes.  The cost to race for an adult (>16y/o) is £10 (£11 for non-affiliates) and a Youth (U14 / U16) is £4 (£5 for non-affiliates).
