TweedCross 2024

Cyclo-Cross , Galashiels – Sunday, 25 Aug 2024

Event Summary

Event Overview

Come and race on the banks of the silvery Tweed close to Galashiels. Ideal pre-series warm-up for racers from Scotland, NE and NW.  Not much in the calendar this year in August - so make the most of it.  A parkland race with a good mix of off-camber grass, singletrack and rooty pines switchback.  A flat-ish park but with plenty of grippy and sharp climbs thrown in.  Some new bits for 2024 but the riverside singletrack, maze in the pines and Redneck Hill will be back.  Grass will be trim for maximum braaap!! Expect to get in 7-8 laps, so you can really dial those CX features.

Main Course: Women, U16/U14, Juniors, Open B and Open A races – fees kept at 2019 price!

GoRide Course: U12/10/8’s – no cost to enter

The course is compact with plenty of spectating points and superb coffee this year as well.

This is a pre-series SCX race - ideally placed as your warm-up to SCX1 or CXNE1, or as a come-and-try cyclocross event.

After great feedback we are back after a bit of a break - brought to you by Happy Trails Cross Collective.

ENTRIES:  Via BC entry system only for B, A and Womens’ race.  Close 22nd Aug 23:30  NO entries on the day, except U12/10/8 GoRide
