Round 4 of the 2024/25 the Wessex Cyclo-Cross League, promoted by Reading CC

The Bill Higson Memorial Cyclocross races are for all age groups and the races are open to all regardless of affiliation to the league. The venue is Prospect Park in Reading which offers a host of natural features that we have put together to create interesting and challenging courses

Please note that places will be allocated on a first come first served basis until the maximum race entry limit is reached. Apologies for any disappointment caused if your entry is rejected should your race reach its maximum capacity

Pre-entry closes at 23:55 on Tuesday 24th September

Entry on the Line/Day is available by card payment only provided there are spaces left in your race

Single Day Race Licence fee: an extra £5 for seniors and £2.50 for juniors is payable by Ride and Non-BC Members at cyclocross meetings.
Youth and U12 riders are exempt from this, and so it is payable by Junior riders and above who do not have a full or provisional BC Race licence

Timings for each race are pushed forward by 1 hour compared with usual Wessex Cyclocross League Races due to venue restrictions.

Pre-entry closes at 23:55 on Tuesday 24th September

Pre-entry fees:

U8, U10, U12 - £3

Youth - £6

Junior - £11

Senior & Vet - £21.50

Entry on the Line/Day:

Entry on the line/day is available by card payment only provided there are spaces left in your race

Day entry fees:

U8, U10, U12 - £5

Youth - £10

Junior - £15

Senior & Vet - £26.50

The Venue:

Prospect Park, offers a host of natural features that we have put together to create three interesting and challenging courses. Please remember that Prospect Park is a shared public open space and so we request that you be courteous to other users and vigilant of your belongings, especially bikes and kit.

Catering will be available on site

Facilities:

Portaloo toilets will be available in addition to 1 public toilet

Parking:

On site parking is available in either the small hard standing car park with height restriction and in the large bottom field of Prospect Park. Field parking opens at 8:45am and closes at 5:30pm. The car parks can be accessed by using the Liebenrood Road entrance RG30 2ND.
