What is it?

A 1.5 hour session dedicated to developing on bike skills along with physical elements required for success.

Development Centre's will support riders with their first step on the talent pathway and are for those who aspire to be become better bike riders and who might be looking to attend RSRs as well as current riders who have already engaged in RSR and Foundation programmes.

Riders should be aware that these sessions will be physically challenging, meeting the needs of the racing standards of ALL Youth A and B bike racers. Juniors can attend if room allows.

Who delivers it? Delivery will be led by British Cycling Qualified Coaches.

When is it?  Tuesday night from 6.30 - 8.00pm

Where is it? Glan Y Morfa Industrial Estate, Marsh Rd, Rhyl LL18 2AD

Who is it for? All Youth A & B, Junior bike racers

What does it cost? £5 per session -  on line entries only

What you need? Clean road bike in good working order*, helmet, gloves, appropriate clothing for the weather & time of year, spare inner tube, tyre levers, pump, 2 bottles and enough food & drink to see you through the session and travelling home.

*If you do not own a road bike then a cross bike with road tyres on is fine.

 

Please arrive in time to sign on and be ready for a briefing before the warm-up at 6.30pm.

 

Entry closes the day before each session at 2pm.

Organizer will select or reject entries on Monday ahead of Tuesday evening.

Due to coaching capacity, priority will be given to Welsh eligible athletes as per Commonwealth Games criteria;

  • Parent Born in Wales;
  • Resident of Wales.

 

A consent form needs to be completed in advance of the first session. Please complete and either send in advance to Christine@z2h.uk or bring to the session.

As an attendee of Beicio Cymru sessions, I understand and agree to adhere to the following code of conduct. I acknowledge that I am representing both myself and the program, and I commit to upholding the values and standards outlined herein.

I will treat coaches, fellow athletes, officials, volunteers, and staff with respect, courtesy, and consideration at all times.

  1. Sportsmanship:

I will train/compete with integrity, honesty, and fairness, adhering to the rules and regulations of the sport.

I will accept both victory and defeat graciously, showing respect for opponents and officials.

  1. Commitment to Training:

I will attend training sessions regularly and punctually, notifying coaches in advance of any absences or lateness.

I will give my full effort and focus during training, striving to improve and develop my skills and fitness.

  1. Safety and Equipment:

I will prioritize my safety and the safety of others, following all safety guidelines and instructions provided by coaches.

I will ensure that my equipment is well-maintained and in good condition for training and competition.

I will ensure I have the correct equipment for the activity.

  1. Positive Attitude:

I will approach training and competition with a positive attitude, demonstrating resilience, determination, and perseverance.

I will support and encourage my teammates, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.

  1. Communication:

I will communicate openly and respectfully with coaches, expressing any concerns or questions in a constructive manner.

  1. Personal Conduct:

I will conduct myself in a manner that reflects positively on myself, my team, and the sport of cycling.

I will refrain from engaging in any activities or behaviours that may bring discredit to the program or compromise its values.

  1. Compliance with Policies:

I will comply with all program policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to doping control, social media usage, and travel arrangements.

I understand that violations of program policies may result in disciplinary action.

I have read and understand the above code of conduct, and I agree to abide by its principles and standards. I understand that failure to adhere to these expectations may result in consequences, including suspension or dismissal from the session.
