Bath BMX Winter Series 24/25 Round 2

BMX , BATH – Sunday, 08 Dec 2024

Event Summary

Event Overview

Grass roots coach-led racing open to all. Whether you're a first time racer or old hand we'll sure you'll love racing at Bath BMX.

These races provide an accessible entry point into the sport for new and novice riders as well as challenging competition to more experienced riders, who will likely find themselves lining up on the gate with riders who they don't usually meet at regionals and nationals. There really is something for everyone.

New for this series is the introduction of the five-moto format. Rather than completing only three motos before progressing to finals riders will take part in five. For new racers this provides more race exposure and more 'bang for you buck'. For more experienced racers this will be good preparation for big races where quarters and semis are common and a race day could easily involve 6 race laps.

Race entry is £8 per rider to be paid in cash on registration.

Races will be run on Sqorz. Transponders will not be used.

The club has bikes and helmets available to borrow for those who need them. Please ask a club volunteer to issue you with any equipment you need to borrow before signing in.

Registration closes at 11:30 with racing to start at 12:00

About the Event

Info for Riders

Race categories are all mixed wheel size (20 inch, cruiser and MTB are all welcome). There will be open and female categories for:

8 and under

9-12

13-15

16+++

Club Elite

All riders must have reached their 4th birthday in order to enter and only riders in 13+ categories may use clipless pedals.

The 16+++ category is so named because many riders in this group are way over 16. It's a great mix with some fabulous racing. If you are an older rider, rad dad or moto mum don't be put off by the number 16; this is absolutely for you.

The Club Elite category is for the fastest riders aged 15 or over. This IS NOT a payback category, just a chance for some fast and competitive laps.

This is coach-led racing and any disputes will be settled at the sole discretion of the coach.

Usual BMX clothing and equipment rules apply. If you're not sure please ask.
