Event Overview

After a two year break, the Roy Hillman Memorial Road Race for E/1/2/3 returns in 2025, taking place Sunday 6th July, using the popular Tenterden course in Kent

The National B race has been running since 2018 with Rory Townsend, Canyon DHB winning the first edition on the Lingfield circuit. In 2019 it was held on the Benenden circuit with Ollie Robinson, Team Wiggins taking victory. The 2020 edition unfortunately had to be cancelled due the pandemic. In 2021 we used the Beachy Head course on the South Downs, which provided a super tough race won by Connor McGoldrick, Primera Team Jobs.

The last edition of the race on the Benenden Sandhurst course was won by Jack Rootkin-Gray of Team Inspired.

About the Event

Info for Riders

  • RACE DISTANCE - The race will be 135km and cover 7 laps of the course.
  • RIDER BRIEFING - Riders briefing will take place in the carpark at 10.20am.(Inside the hall if bad weather)
  • OFFICIALS BRIEFING - Officials briefing will take place at 09.50am in the officials room.
  • FEED ZONE - The feed zone will be immediately after the finish line for 100m. Feeding can take place on every lap except the last lap.
  • RACE SAFETY - The race will have accredited marshal (AMS) coverage at the junctions and NEG moto marshal team, along with static red flag marshals and race convoy to help keep riders, officials and the general public safe. Please note though, that even with all this in place, the onus has to be on the riders to keep themselves safe - remember you're on public roads!
  • NEUTRAL SERVICE - There will be two neutral service vehicles following the race. Riders are responsible for providing there own wheels for the vehicles (please make a note of which vehicle your wheels go in). Please mark your wheels with your race number. If you don't have wheels in a vehicle, you will be given a lift back to HQ or finish line.
