Chilly City Crits returns for 2025!

Following on from the inaugural super series in 2024, LYTL, the London City Academy and Eastern Region have teamed up to bring a 5 round series in 2025 at London's iconic Lee Valley VeloPark, with racing for Youth E, D, C, B, A and Go-Racing for novice Junior, A and B riders to kick start 2025!

Each Round features racing for:

• Youth D & E (15 mins) - for riders born in 2015 or later
• Youth C (25 mins) - for riders born in 2013 or 2014
• Youth B (35 mins) - for riders born in 2011 or 2012
• Youth A (45 mins) - for riders born in 2009 or 2010
• Go Race (20 mins) - for novice U18 racers born between 2007 and 2012*

* Our Go-race event is aimed at providing an introduction to racing for teens who are new to the sport; and will be led by British Cycling qualified coaches. No racing experience is required but you will need to bring your own bicycle, helmet and gloves to participate. Riders who want to then 'move up' to the competitive Youth A & B races at future rounds are welcome and will be fully supported to do so! A British Cycling membership or race license is not required, but you may need to pay for a single day race license (£1.50) and have a parental consent form when you sign on. Full details will be emailed to all entered riders.

** Due to circuit availability, the Youth A & B race will be combined in Round 5 only. Separate results per group will be published.

Info for Riders

• Before entering the Youth A-E racing, please make sure that you have renewed your Race License for 2025! If you have not done so, you may not be able to enter; or may have to pay for a Day License when you sign on.
• All entries are first come first served, up to the maximum number of spaces available in the group. Entry on the day will be available where space allows, with payment by card / contactless only; no cash. 
• Prizes will be awarded to the top three boys & girls in each race, per age category where they have been combined - these are to be collected from the sign on desk after your race has completed.
• Free parking is available for up to 4 hours - please make sure to enter your registration at the terminal in the circuit access tunnel.
• Youth A-E racers must have their gearing restricted to the maximum as required by the BC regulations. Youth B and below racers are not permitted to use deep section wheels. Please ensure all non-racing accessories (lights, bells, baskets mudguards, etc) have been removed before racing!
• Sign on will close 15 minutes before the start of each race, and will be located in the track centre access tunnel. You will need to get your bike gear checked before you can sign on.
