Harrogate Nova Reliability Ride 2025

Reliability Trial , Harrogate – Sunday, 19 Jan 2025

Event Summary

Event Overview

The HNCC event offers two routes of 100km and 70km starting and finishing in Harrogate town centre.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS, BOTH ROUTES HAVE BEEN AMENDED TO USE SAFER A & B ROADS.

REVISED 100KM ROUTE: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/41818479

REVISED 70KM ROUTE: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49483733

Riders are advised to note the following risks:

1) Weather conditions are very cold and riders must wear cold weather clothing and carry sufficient food and drink. The 100km route has a high point at 72-82km (Fellbeck). If unsure about your fitness and the cold conditions then please use the medium route which turns back to Harrogate from Boroughbridge.

2) The main fast descents on the route are located at 72, 81 and 92km respectively. Riders must exercise high caution on all fast descents.

3) The turn to Harewood at 14km and subsequent climb is on a normally busy road so please be considerate of other road users.

4) Consider your fellow riders and offer assistance where needed in cold conditions.

5) Equip your bike with lights as small patches of fog are common on cold days.

Finally, a reminder that this is a non-competitive event. Ride safely and considerately at all times. Remember that the use of safer, gritted roads means more vehicles so never rider more than 2 abreast and single file as appropriate.

The ride is part of the Yorkshire Reliability series ran by local clubs and promoters. The series starts with The Struggle on 12th January (Prologue, Harrogate) and finishing with the Prologue Cafe Bash event on 9th March. Find out more at:
