Edinburgh RC youth section is proud to promote this event in honour of Ben Forsyth.
Ben was the first ERC Junior winner of a British Championship Circuit Race in 2013.
All these circuit races will be for male and female Youths, with the Youth A Open race for the Ben Forsyth Trophy.
The event supports C-R-Y (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and its screening events.
This fund will be used to arrange CRY sessions, with the target of annual screenings in Scotland.

Information for riders
The day consists of races for all youth categories. The event was a huge success in 2024, especially for the younger age groups who took part in three races, making journeys more worthwhile.
Morning Go-Race events are for YC (U12), YD (U10) and YE (U8). Each rider will take part in 3 races: TT (time trial against the clock), street sprint (short 4 to 6-up races), and mass start (i.e. crit). Prizes will be awarded by year of birth based on points gained in each element. We will adjust the number of entries and timings to maximise our capacity while keeping within safety limits. Approximate finish times are expected to be 11:10, 11:45 and 12:20 for E, D & Cs based on 2024 field sizes.
Afternoon activities for YA (U16) and YB (U14) riders consist of a mass start crit and a coached training session.
YA&B riders who want to attend the only coaching session should contact the organiser. Priority will be given to race entrants.
The numbers attending the coached session may have to be limited to comply with BC guidelines.
No entries on the day of the race.
Day licenses
Online Day licence payment request of £1.50 will be sent to non-Race licence holders after the fields have been finalised.

Youth bikes
For U8s, U10s and U12s any roadworthy bike can be used. For U12s a road bike is recommended. All U14 and U16 competitors must use a road bike. Volunteers will be on hand to ensure bikes will comply with the standard British Cycling gear restriction, your kids will race.
